Decize and the other ways to keep a decision log.

If your team already works in Notion and wants a free place to write decisions down, a Notion template is the better choice: no new tool, and it sits beside your docs. Choose Confluence’s DACI template if you run structured, high-stakes decisions with several stakeholders and already use Confluence; the template is free and the roles are clear. A spreadsheet is the better choice for a small team that logs a few decisions a month and has someone who keeps it current: it is free, shared only with the people you choose, and yours to shape. Choose Decize when rows stop getting written, or when nobody goes back to record how decisions turned out.

Choose Decision Log if you need a strict system of record that AI agents and developer tools read and write through an API, CLI or MCP, with immutable decisions and explicit supersession. Choose Decize if your team decides in email and the gap is follow-through: owners, deadlines, outcomes and whether confident calls work out.

Loqbooq is no longer available: its own site says it was discontinued in September 2024. If Slack capture was the reason you used it, Decize is not a like-for-like replacement, because it has no Slack app yet. Decize suits teams whose decisions happen in email and who want outcomes followed up.
